2024 Artist Trust Board of Trustees Application

Ends on

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in serving on the Artist Trust Board of Trustees! Our goal is a board that is geographically, racially, and economically diverse. This open application is to identify community members who want to have a closer relationship with us. Please share this with people in your network who might also be interested.
Role: Board members are volunteers who are responsible for governing Artist Trust, establishing and upholding our mission and vision, and preparing for a successful future. Board members bring vital expertise and thought partnership. They also work to broaden our network, introducing community members, artists, and potential supporters to Artist Trust.
Time commitment: 3-6 hours/month. This includes board meetings (quarterly, Saturday) and committees (every other month). Most meetings are virtual – in person meetings are in conjunction with social events.
Financial commitment: We ask board members to make an annual donation that feels personally significant, whether that is $25 or $2,500. There are opportunities throughout the year to participate in fundraising outside of this annual commitment, including campaigns, events, and special initiatives.
About Artist Trust
Artist Trust is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that supports working artists of all disciplines in Washington State. We fuel our funding and other programs for artists through fundraising, partnership, and community engagement. Recognized as a national model for direct funding and professional development for working artists, we have invested over $15 million in individual artists since our founding in 1986. We view our mission through a lens of racial and geographic equity and are actively working to become an anti-racist organization and build a leaderful workplace. Learn more at artisttrust.org. If you don't have one already, please create a submittable account to begin your application.
